             9      General Description:
             10          This bill repeals the Utah Personal Introduction Services Protection Act.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    amends Utah Code Section 13-2-1 to reflect the repeal of Title 13, Chapter 30, Utah
             14      Personal Introduction Services Protection Act; and
             15          .    repeals Utah Code Sections 13-30-101 through 13-30-114, the Utah Personal
             16      Introduction Services Protection Act.

             40      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             41          Section 1. Section 13-2-1 is amended to read:
             42           13-2-1. Consumer protection division established -- Functions.
             43          (1) There is established within the Department of Commerce the Division of Consumer
             44      Protection.
             45          (2) The division shall administer and enforce the following:
             46          (a) Chapter 5, Unfair Practices Act;
             47          (b) Chapter 10a, Music Licensing Practices Act;
             48          (c) Chapter 11, Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act;
             49          (d) Chapter 15, Business Opportunity Disclosure Act;
             50          (e) Chapter 20, New Motor Vehicles Warranties Act;
             51          (f) Chapter 21, Credit Services Organizations Act;
             52          (g) Chapter 22, Charitable Solicitations Act;
             53          (h) Chapter 23, Health Spa Services Protection Act;
             54          (i) Chapter 25a, Telephone and Facsimile Solicitation Act;
             55          (j) Chapter 26, Telephone Fraud Prevention Act;
             56          (k) Chapter 28, Prize Notices Regulation Act; and
             57          [(l) Chapter 30, Utah Personal Introduction Services Protection Act; and]
             58          [(m)] (l) Chapter 34, Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act.


             59          Section 2. Repealer.
             60          This bill repeals:
             61          Section 13-30-101, Title.
             62          Section 13-30-102, Definitions.
             63          Section 13-30-103, Operation without registration unlawful.
             64          Section 13-30-104, Records of the division.
             65          Section 13-30-105, Registration.
             66          Section 13-30-106, Bond, certificate of deposit, or letter of credit.
             67          Section 13-30-107, Annual expiration.
             68          Section 13-30-108, Requirements to personal services contracts.
             69          Section 13-30-109, Recordkeeping.
             70          Section 13-30-110, Registration nontransferable -- Change of name -- Change of
             71      location -- Change of ownership.
             72          Section 13-30-111, Statute of limitations.
             73          Section 13-30-112, Powers of director -- Administrative actions -- Civil actions by
             74      division.
             75          Section 13-30-113, Private actions.
             76          Section 13-30-114, Criminal penalties.
