LONG TITLE
General Description:
This bill reauthorizes certain state entities and programs that would otherwise sunset
before the 2006 Annual General Session of the Utah Legislature.
Highlighted Provisions:
This bill:
. reauthorizes certain named state entities and programs that are scheduled to sunset
before the 2006 Annual General Session; and
. makes technical changes.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

Section 1. Section 63-55-219 is amended to read:
63-55-219. Repeal dates, Title 19.
(1) Title 19, Chapter 2, Air Conservation Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(2) Title 19, Chapter 3, Radiation Control Act, is repealed July 1, 2012.
(3) Title 19, Chapter 4, Safe Drinking Water Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(4) Title 19, Chapter 5, Water Quality Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(5) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 1, Solid and Hazardous Waste Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(6) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 3, Hazardous Substances Mitigation Act, is repealed July 1,
2010.
(7) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 4, Underground Storage Tank Act, is repealed July 1, 2008.
(8) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 6, Lead Acid Battery Disposal, is repealed July 1, 2006.
(9) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 7, Used Oil Management Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(10) Title 19, Chapter 6, Part 8, Waste Tire Recycling Act, is repealed July 1, [2005]
2010.
Section 2. Section 63-55-226 is amended to read:
63-55-226. Repeal dates, Title 26.
(1) Title 26, Chapter 1, Department of Health Organization, is repealed July 1, 2006.
(2) Title 26, Chapter 4, Utah Medical Examiner Act, is repealed July 1, 2010.
(3) Title 26, Chapter 9f, Utah Digital Health Service Commission Act, is repealed July 1,
[2005] 2015.
(4) Title 26, Chapter 10, Family Health Services, is repealed July 1, 2010.
(5) Title 26, Chapter 23b, Detection of Public Health Emergencies Act, is repealed July
1, 2009.
(6) Title 26, Chapter 33a, Utah Health Data Authority Act, is repealed July 1, 2014.
Section 3. Section 63-55-236 is amended to read:
63-55-236. Repeal dates, Title 36.
[Title 36, Chapter 17, Legislative Process Committee, is repealed July 1, 2005.]
Section 4. Section 63-55-253 is amended to read:

63-55-253. Repeal dates, Titles 53, 53A, and 53B.
The following provisions of Title 53A are repealed on the following dates:
(1) Title 53A, Chapter 1a, Part 6, Public Education Job Enhancement Program is
repealed July 1, [2005] 2010.
(2) The State Instructional Materials Commission, created in Section 53A-14-101 , is
repealed July 1, 2011.
(3) Title 53A, Chapter 20a, Public Education Revenue Bond Act, is repealed July 1,
2007.
Section 5. Section 63-55-258 is amended to read:
63-55-258. Repeal dates, Title 58.
(1) Title 58, Chapter 3a, Architects Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2013.
(2) Title 58, Chapter 5a, Podiatric Physician Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
(3) Title 58, Chapter 9, Funeral Services Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2008.
(4) Title 58, Chapter 13, Health Care Providers Immunity from Liability Act, is repealed
July 1, 2006.
(5) Title 58, Chapter 15, Health Facility Administrator Act, is repealed July 1, [2005]
2015.
(6) Title 58, Chapter 16a, Utah Optometry Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
(7) Title 58, Chapter 17b, Pharmacy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2014.
(8) Title 58, Chapter 20a, Environmental Health Scientist Act, is repealed July 1, 2013.
(9) Title 58, Chapter 22, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors
Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, [2005] 2015.
(10) Title 58, Chapter 26a, Certified Public Accountant Licensing Act, is repealed July 1,
2007.
(11) Title 58, Chapter 28, Veterinary Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2014.
(12) Title 58, Chapter 31b, Nurse Practice Act, is repealed July 1, [2005] 2015.
(13) Title 58, Chapter 37, Utah Controlled Substances Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
(14) Title 58, Chapter 37a, Utah Drug Paraphernalia Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.

(15) Title 58, Chapter 37b, Imitation Controlled Substances Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
(16) Title 58, Chapter 40, Recreational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2013.
(17) Title 58, Chapter 41, Speech-language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act, is
repealed July 1, 2009.
(18) Title 58, Chapter 42a, Occupational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, [2005]
2015.
(19) Title 58, Chapter 44a, Nurse Midwife Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2010.
(20) Title 58, Chapter 46a, Hearing Instrument Specialist Licensing Act, is repealed July
1, 2013.
(21) Title 58, Chapter 47b, Massage Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2014.
(22) Title 58, Chapter 49, Dietitian Certification Act, is repealed July 1, [2005] 2015.
(23) Title 58, Chapter 53, Landscape Architects Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2008.
(24) Title 58, Chapter 59, Professional Employer Organization [Licensing] Registration
Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
(25) Title 58, Chapter 67, Utah Medical Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
(26) Title 58, Chapter 68, Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act, is repealed July 1,
2006.
(27) Title 58, Chapter 69, Dentist and Dental Hygienist Practice Act, is repealed July 1,
2006.
(28) Title 58, Chapter 71, Naturopathic Physician Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
(29) Title 58, Chapter 72, Acupuncture Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
(30) Title 58, Chapter 73, Chiropractic Physician Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
Section 6. Section 63-55-263 is amended to read:
63-55-263. Repeal dates, Titles 63 to 63E.
(1) Title 63, Chapter 25a, Part 3, Sentencing Commission, is repealed January 1, 2012.
(2) The Crime Victims' Reparations Board, created in Section 63-25a-404 , is repealed
July 1, 2007.
(3) The Resource Development Coordinating Committee, created in Section 63-38d-501 ,

is repealed July 1, 2005.
[(4) Title 63, Chapter 38c, State Appropriations and Tax Limitation Act, is repealed July
1, 2005.]
[(5)] (4) Title 63, Chapter 47, Utah Commission for Women and Families, is repealed
July 1, [2005] 2006.
[(6)] (5) Title 63, Chapter 75, Families, Agencies, and Communities Together for
Children and Youth At Risk Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
[(7)] (6) Title 63, Chapter 88, Navajo Trust Fund, is repealed July 1, 2005.
[(8)] (7) Sections 63A-4-204 and 63A-4-205 , authorizing the Risk Management Fund to
provide coverage to nonstate entities, are repealed July 1, 2006.
[(9) Title 63A, Chapter 10, State Olympic Coordination Act, is repealed July 1, 2004.]
Section 7. Section 63-55b-164 is amended to read:
63-55b-164. Repeal dates -- Title 64.
Subsection 64-13c-303 (1) is repealed July 1, [2005] 2010.
