Committee Chair Hellewell called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to approve the minutes of the February 14, 2005 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Davis absent for the vote.
1. H.B. 143 National Guard Amendments (E. Hutchings)
Rep. Hutchings explained the bill.
Col. Craig Morgan, Utah National Guard, answered questions and spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Davis absent for the vote.
2. H.B. 209 Administrative Rules - Impact on Small Business (G. Hughes)
Rep. Hughes explained the bill.
Ronald Casper, National Federation of Independent Businesses, spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Christensen moved to pass the bill with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
