Chairman Buttars called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
    
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

    MOTION:
Sen. Thomas moved to approve the minutes of February 21, 2005.

    The motion passed with Sen. Dmitrich absent for the vote.

1.     H.B. 349 MONEY MANAGEMENT ACT AMENDMENTS (Rep. D. Clark)

    

     MOTION: Sen. Mansell moved to pass H. B. 349 out of committee with a favorable     recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Dmitrich absent for the vote.

2.     H.B. 234 TELEPHONE SURCHARGE FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAMS AT PRISON (Rep. B. Goodfellow)



    
Rep. Goodfellow presented the bill to the committee.

    D'Arcy Dixon, Administrative Service Director, and Don Mortensen, Sutherland Institute,     spoke to the bill.
    
    MOTION:
Sen. Dmitrich moved to pass H.B. 234 out of committee with a favorable     recommendation.

    The motion passed with Sen. Thomas voting against.
         
    MOTION:
Sen. Bell moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Sen. Buttars adjourned the meeting at 4:27 p.m.
