Acting Committee Chair Jenkins called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to approve the minutes of January 30, 2007.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Mayne absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 238 Motor Vehicle Insurance Amendments (S. Killpack)
Sen. Killpack explained the bill.
Brian D. Church, Loss Control Manager, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company of Utah, and Preston Wilbourne, President, Manager, Car Rental Association, National, Alamo, spoke in support of the bill.
Bryan A. Larson, Attorney, Utah Trial Lawyers Association, and John Fay, Attorney, Gregory
and Swapp, spoke in opposition to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. VanTassell moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to adjourn.
