Rep. Ray called the meeting to order at 8:13 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2008 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.


1st Sub. S.B. 93    Licensed Direct Entry Midwife Amendments (Sen. M. Dayton)

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to table the bill.

SUBSTITUTE
MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to saunter until 8:30 a.m. The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Menlove reconvened the meeting at 8:35 a.m.

Rep. Bradley Last presented 7th Substitute S.B. 93 to the committee with the assistance of Cathy Dupont, Associate General Counsel, who explained the changes in the substitute bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to delete in title and body 1st Substitute S.B. 93 and replace it with 7th Substitute S.B. 93. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ray absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to pass 7th Substitute S.B. 93 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ray absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dougall moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ray absent for the vote.
