10 This bill amends the maximum charge to publish a legal notice in a fourth or fifth class

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 45-1-2 is amended to read:
27 45-1-2. Maximum charge.
28 [A legal rate of 30 cents per line on the basis of an eight-point line, not less than 11
29 ems wide, is hereby established] On the basis of a minimum of an eight-point type, a rate

30 charged in each city of the fourth and fifth class and each town for the publishing of any
31 notice, advertisement, or publication of any kind required by law may not be greater than the
32 open net rate charged for a similar notice, advertisement, or publication by any other
33 advertiser.
