7 General Description:
8 This resolution changes the name of the Senate Workforce Services and Community
9 and Economic Development Standing Committee to the Senate Economic Development
10 and Workforce Services Standing Committee.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This resolution:
13 . changes the name of the Senate Workforce Services and Community and Economic
14 Development Standing Committee to the Senate Economic Development and
15 Workforce Services Standing Committee; and
16 . makes technical changes.
17 Special Clauses:
18 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.

23 Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. SR3-2-201 is amended to read:
25 SR3-2-201. Standing committees.
26 (1) The president shall appoint the following standing committees:
27 (a) Business and Labor;
28 (b) Economic Development and Workforce Services;
29 [(b)] (c) Education;

30 [(c)] (d) Government Operations and Political Subdivisions;
31 [(d)] (e) Health and Human Services;
32 [(e)] (f) Judiciary, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice;
33 [(f)] (g) Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment;
34 [(g)] (h) Revenue and Taxation;
35 [(h)] (i) Rules; and
36 [(i)] (j) Transportation and Public Utilities and Technology[; and].
37 [(j) Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development.]
38 (2) The Senate members of the Retirement and Independent Entities Committee
39 created in Utah Code Section 63E-1-201 are a Senate standing committee.
40 Section 2. Effective date.
41 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.
