Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 2:19 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Osmund moved to adopt the minutes of the February 10, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Waddoups and Stevenson absent for the vote.
Sen. Osmund assumed the Committee Chair.
S.R. 2 Senate Committee Name Change Resolution (Sen. S. Reid)
Sen. Reid introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen Jones moved to send S.R.2 out of committee with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Waddoups and Stevenson absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Morgan moved to place S.R. 2 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Waddoups and Stevenson absent for the vote
Sen. Reid resumed the Committee Chair.
H.B. 318 Industrial Assistance Account Amendments (Rep. R. Menlove)
Rep. Menlove explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.
Spoke for the bill: Gary Harter, Sophia DiCario and Spencer Eccles, Governor's Office of Economic Development.
MOTION: Sen. Okerlund moved to send H.B. 318 out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.
M OTION: Sen. Jones moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Reid adjourned the meeting at 2:44 p.m.
