8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This bill supplements or reduces appropriations previously provided for school districts,
11 charter schools, and certain state education agencies for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
12 2012, and ending June 30, 2013.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This bill:
15 . provides budget increases and decreases for the use and support of certain state
16 education agencies; and
17 . provides budget increases and decreases for programs that support school districts
18 and charter schools.
19 Money Appropriated in this Bill:
20 This bill appropriates for fiscal year 2012-13:
21 . $1,900,000 from the General Fund;
22 . $23,430,600 from the Education Fund; and
23 . $120,000 from Interest and Dividends Account.
24 This bill transfers $20,500,000 from various program balances into the Education Fund
25 one-time in fiscal year 2012-13.
26 Other Special Clauses:
27 This bill provides an effective date.

31 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
32 Section 1. Appropriations for state education agencies and programs that support
33 school districts and charter schools.
34 Under the terms and conditions of Utah Code Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary
35 Procedures Act, as applicable, the following sums of money are appropriated from resources
36 not otherwise appropriated, or reduced from amounts previously appropriated, out of the funds
37 or fund accounts indicated for distribution to state education agencies, school districts, and
38 charter schools for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013. These
39 appropriations are additions to amounts previously appropriated for fiscal year 2013.
