8 General Description:
9 This bill modifies Title 62A, Chapter 7, Juvenile Justice Services.
10 Highlighted Provisions:
11 This bill:
12 . states that funding for receiving centers is intended to include federal grant money,
13 local government money, and private donations; and
14 . states that money appropriated to receiving centers shall be used to contract with
15 each public agency designated to oversee the receiving center and cover
16 administrative costs.

25 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. Section 62A-7-104.5 is enacted to read:
27 62A-7-104.5. Appropriation and funding of receiving centers.

28 (1) Funding for receiving centers under this part is intended to be broad based, be
29 provided by a line item appropriation by the Legislature to the division, and include federal
30 grant money, local government money, and private donations.
31 (2) The money appropriated shall be used to contract with each public agency
32 designated to oversee the operation and accountability of a receiving center and to cover
33 administrative costs of coordination of the receiving centers' operations.
