Vice Chair Cunningham called the meeting to order at 2:09 p.m.

MOTION: Rep. Wilson moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bird, Rep. Last, and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

S.B. 45    Workers' Compensation and Directors or Officers (Sen. E. Vickers)

Sen. Vickers explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Nelson moved to pass out S.B. 45 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bird absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 3    Concurrent Resolution Honoring Major General Brian L. Tarbet (Rep. V. Peterson)

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to amend HCR 3 as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 35 through 38 :    

             35          WHEREAS, Major General Tarbet has tirelessly traversed the globe visiting and
             36      assessing the welfare of his soldiers and airmen;
  WHEREAS, Major General Tarbet has constantly cultivated relationships of mutual trust and gratitude with Guardmember families and civilian employers;

         WHEREAS, Major General Tarbet's exemplary service to the state of Utah ensured that
             38      soldiers and airmen stationed in Utah were trained, resourced, and ready for their missions; and

The motion passed unanimously.

Rep. Peterson presented the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilson moved to pass out HCR 3 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Oda moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Cunningham adjourned the meeting at 2:29 p.m.
