Vice Chair Cunningham called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Bird moved to approve the minutes of the February 11, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 53    Intergenerational Welfare Reform (Sen. S. Reid)

Sen. Reid introduced the bill to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Karen Crompton        Voices for Utah Children
                Stan Rasmussen        Sutherland Institute
                Jon Pierpont            Department of Workforce Services

MOTION:    Rep. Edwards moved to pass out with a favorable recommendation S.B. 53. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bird absent for the vote.

H.B. 94    Free Market Protection and Privatization Board Act Amendments (Rep. K. Stratton)

This bill was not heard.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bird absent for the vote.

Vice Chair Cunningham adjourned the meeting at 4:57 p.m.
