Vice Chair Ivory called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to approve the minutes of the February 4, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.


H.B. 256    Reauthorization of Administrative Rules (Rep. C. Oda)

Rep. Oda introduced the bill, which was amended in the February 4, 2013 committee meeting.

Martell Menlove, State Superintendent of Schools, answered questions of committee members.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to pass H.B. 256 as amended out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to saunter. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to cease to saunter. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis absent for the vote.

The committee meeting recommenced at 2:26 p.m.


H.B. 302    Emergency Response Amendments (Rep. R. Greenwood)

Rep. Greenwood introduced the bill to the committee.

Sen. Knudson introduced the bill, assisted by Mark Thomas, Lieutenant Governor's Office.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to pass S.B. 23 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Knudson introduced the bill, assisted by Mark Thomas, Lieutenant Governor's Office.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to pass S.B. 23 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
