Vice Chair Ivory called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to approve the minutes of the February 7, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis, Rep. Noel, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.


S.B. 129    Office of State Debt Collection - Administrative Garnishment Order (Sen. L. Hillyard)

Sen. Hillyard introduced the bill to the committee with the assistance of Ms. Amanda Eccles Jex of the Attorney General's Office.

MOTION:    Rep. Noel moved to pass S.B. 129 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Powell absent for the vote.


H.B. 99    Reports to Legislature and Governor Amendments (Rep. P. Arent)

MOTION:    Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to adopt 2nd Substitute H.B. 99. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Powell absent for the vote.

Rep. Arent introduced the substitute bill to the committee, assisted by Mr. John Dougall, State Auditor.




Spoke to the bill:    Mr. Kim Christy, Executive Director, School & Institutional Trust Lands Administration

MOTION:    Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to pass 2nd Substitute H.B. 99 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


S.B. 126    Coordination of Services for Veterans (Sen. P. Knudson)

Sen. Knudson introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to amend the bill as follows:

    Page 4, Line 102:    After "who" delete "may" and insert "preferably shall"

The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to pass S.B. 126 as amended out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


S.B. 138    Amendments to Requirements for Governor's Proposed Budget (Sen. W. Harper)
