Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Kennedy moved to approve the minutes of February 5, 2013, February 6,
2013, and February 11, 2013. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Barlow,
Rep. Chavez-Houck and Rep. Cosgrove absent for the vote.
S.B. 135 Involuntary Commitment Amendments (Sen. T. Weiler)
Sen. Weiler presented the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Christensen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed
unanimously, with Rep. Chavez-Houck absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Redd moved to place S.B. 135 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed
unanimously, with Rep. Chavez-Houck absent for the vote.
H.B. 292 Premium Assistance Under Medicaid and CHIP (Rep. D. Sanpei)
Rep. Sanpei presented the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Kennedy moved to replace H.B. 292 with 1st Substitute H.B. 292, "Premium
Assistance Under Medicaid and CHIP." The motion passed unanimously, with
Rep. Chavez-Houck absent for the vote.
