Rep. Greenwood called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Layton absent for the vote.

H.B. 102    Arson Penalties Amendments (Rep. L. Wiley)

Rep. Wiley introduced and explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Brody O'Connor, Salt Lake City Fire Department.

MOTION:    Rep. Wheatley moved to adopt 1st substitute H.B. 102. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Layton absent for the vote.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Ms. Jacey Skinner, Director, Utah Sentencing Commission

MOTION:    Rep. Wheatley moved to pass 1st substitute H.B. 102 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.




H.C.R. 6    Concurrent Resolution Recognizing the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War (Rep. C. Oda)


Rep. Oda introduced and explained the resolution to the committee.
