Rep. Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Westwood moved to approve the minutes of the January 28, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Kennedy, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.


H.B. 40    Scheduling of Special Elections (Rep. K. Powell)

Rep. Powell introduced the bill to the committee.

Rep. Webb moved to amend the bill as follows:


1.    Page 1, Lines 21 through 22 :    

             21      Other Special Clauses:
             22          
{   None   }        This bill takes effect on January 1, 2014.      


2.    Page 3, Line 69 :    



             69          (iv) other administrative and procedural matters connected with the election.
      Section 2 . Effective date.

     This bill takes effect on January 1, 2014.
 


The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan, Rep. Kennedy, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to pass H.B. 40 out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.


H.B. 66    Political Subdivision Amendments (Rep. R. C. Webb)


Rep. Webb introduced the bill to the committee and provided a handout.

MOTION:    Rep. Dunnigan moved to adopt 1st Substitute H.B. 66. The motion passed          unanimously with Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Westwood moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 66 out favorably. The motion          passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.




    
MOTION:    Rep. Poulson moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dunnigan and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

Vice Chair Peterson adjourned the meeting at 5:35 p.m.
