Vice Chair Handy called the meeting to order at 4:27 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hemingway moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2013 and the February 11 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Christofferson and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.


H.B. 325    Military Installation Development Authority Amendments (Rep. B. Dee)

Rep. Dee introduced the bill to the committee, assisted by Mr. Paul Morris, General Counsel of Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA), who explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Barrus moved to pass H.B. 325 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


S.B. 56S1    Utah 211 Referral Information Network (Sen. T. Weiler)

Sen. Weiler introduced the bill to the committee, assisted by Ms. Amy Bosworth, United Way of Salt Lake.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Ms. Paula Green Johnson, United Way of Salt Lake Board of Directors

MOTION:    Rep. Anderson moved to pass 1st Substitute S.B. 56 out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. McKell voting in opposition to the motion.


MOTION:    Rep. Hemingway moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
