Chair Barrus called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Handy moved to approve the minutes of the March 1, 2013 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderson, Rep. McKell, and Rep. Westwood absent for the vote.


H.B. 172    Public Safety Radio Communication Amendments (Rep. B. Dee)

Rep. Dee introduced the bill to the committee, assisted by Mr. Steve Proctor, Deputy Director, Utah Communications Agency Network (UCAN).

Spoke to the bill:    Mr. Lynn Pace, Deputy City Attorney, Salt Lake City

MOTION:    Rep. Webb moved to pass H.B. 172 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. McKell absent for the vote.


H.B. 392    Funeral Director Amendments (Rep. G. Hughes)

MOTION:    Rep. Handy moved to amend the bill as follows:

    This bill takes effect on July 1, 2013.
