Chair Osmond called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
        
Approval of Minutes    

MOTION: Sen. Reid moved to adopt the minutes of February 28, 2013. The motion passed          unanimously with Sens. Jones and Stevenson absent for the vote.

H.B. 108 Metal Theft Amendments (J. Draxler)

Rep. Draxler introduced and explained the bill.

Mark Lowen, President, Utah Metal Works, further clarified the bill and answered questions from the Committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill: Zach Fountain, Mayors' Office, Murray City, Utah League of Cities                      and Towns
                Eric Isom, Century Link

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to transmit H.B. 108 favorably. The motion passed unanimously
2nd Sub. H.B. 209 Public Assistance Restrictions (D. Brown)

Rep. Brown introduced and explained the bill assisted by Jeff Landward, Department of Workforce Services.

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to transmit 2nd Sub. H.B. 209 favorably. The motion passed              unanimously with Sen. Stevenson absent for the vote.


M OTION:     Sen. Knudson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Stevenson absent for the vote. Chair Osmond adjourned the meeting at 8:40 p.m.
