Approval of Minutes    

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to adopt the minutes of March 5, 2013. The motion passed          unanimously.

S.C.R. 12 Children's and Families' Cancer Research Facility Concurrent Resolution             (J. S. Adams)

Sen. Adams introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen, Reid moved to replace S.B. 95 with 2nd Sub. S.B. 95. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 357 Waste Management Facilities Siting Amendments
(R. Menlove)

MOTION:    Sen. Reid moved to amend H.B. 357 as follows:

1.    Page 7, Lines 198 through 201 :    

             198          (g) for a proposed operation plan submitted on or after July 1, 2013, for a new solid or
             199      hazardous waste facility
  other than a water treatment facility that treats, stores, or disposes site-generated solid or hazardous waste onsite       , a traffic impact study that:

             200          (i) takes into consideration the safety, operation, and condition of roadways serving the
             201      proposed facility; and

The motion passed unanimously.

M OTION:     Sen. Reid moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Knudson Okerlund and Stevenson absent for the vote. Chair Osmond adjourned the meeting at 6:41 p.m.
