Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.

Approval of Minutes

There were no minutes to approve.

Chair Dayton announced that S.B. 112 and S.B. 126 will not be heard today.

S.B. 40    Utah Navajo Royalties Amendments (Sen. K. Van Tassell)

Sen. Van Tassell presented and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass S.B. 40 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Hillyard and Robles absent for the vote.

Chair Dayton relinquished the Chair to Sen. Van Tassell.

S.B. 120    Target Shooting and Wildfire Regulations (Sen. M. Dayton)

Spoke to the bill:    Sheriff Dave Edmunds, Utah Sheriff's Association
            Sterling Brown, Vice President for Publicity, Utah Farm Bureau    

MOTION:    Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Sen. Robles absent for the vote.

Chair Dayton resumed the Chair.


S.B. 129    Office of State Debt Collection - Writ of Garnishment (Sen. L. Hillyard)

Sen. Hillyard introduced and explained the bill.

Spoke for the bill:    John Reidhead, Finance Director, Department of Administrative Services
            Amanda Jex, Assistant Attorney General, representing the Office of State                 Debt Collections-Finance

MOTION:    Sen. Hillyard moved to pass S.B. 129 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Dayton announced that S.B. 130 and S.B. 47 will not be heard today.

MOTION:    Sen. Thatcher moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Dayton adjourned the meeting at 4:28 p.m.
