Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 4:03 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2013 meeting. The
motion passed unanimously with Sens. Shiozawa and Van Tassell absent for the
vote.
Chair Dayton announced that H.B. 14 would not be heard today.
Chair Dayton relinquished the Chair to Sen. Thatcher
S.C.R. 8 Concurrent Resolution for the Provo Reservoir Canal Title Transfer (Sen. M.
Dayton)
Sen. Dayton presented and explained the bill with the assistance of Keith Denos, General
Manager, Provo River Water Users.
Spoke for the bill: Mr. Craig Peterson, Consultant, Provo River Water Users
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed, with Sens.
Shiozawa and Van Tassell absent for the vote.
S.B. 60 Abortion Statistics and Reporting Requirements (Sen. M. Dayton)
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to amend S.B. 60 as follows:

the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass S.B. 60 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously
with Sens. Shiozawa and Van Tassell absent for the vote.

Rep. Powell introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass H.B. 38 out favorably. The motion passed with
Chair Dayton voting in opposition, and Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

Rep. Powell introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to pass H.B. 41 out favorably. The motion passed
unanimously with Sen. Shiozawa absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to pass H.B. 262 out favorably. The motion passed with Chair
Dayton voting in opposition.
MOTION: Sen. Thatcher moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
