Chair Madsen called the meeting to order at 4:12 p.m.
    
Approval of Minutes

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to approve the minutes of Mar. 1 and Mar. 5, 2013. The motion         passed unanimously with Sens. Robles, Thatcher, and Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 263     Child Care Costs Amendments (T. Weiler)

Sen. Weiler introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Weiler moved to amend S.B. 263 as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 28 through 29 :    

             28          (b) If income has been imputed to a custodial parent,
{   the need to include   } child care

             29      costs
{   is presumed to cover the costs of child care   } that would accrue if the parent was working        shall be included in the computation and deducted from any income imputed to the parent       .


The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Weiler moved to pass S.B. 263, as amended, out favorably. The motion passed, with Sen. Robles voting in opposition to the vote.

S.B. 273    Declared Emergency Amendments (M. Madsen)

Sen. Madsen introduced and explained this bill.

        Madsen voting in favor.

S.B. 282    Adoption Notification Requirements (L. Robles)

Sen. Robles introduced and explained the bill.

1st Sub. H.B. 149    Amendments to Utah Exemptions (E. Tanner)

MOTION:    
Sen. Weiler moved to amend 1st Sub. H.B. 149 as follows:

1.    Page 2, Lines 52 through 53

Rep. Wiley introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Thatcher moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 102 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Thatcher moved 1st Sub. H.B. 102 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

S.B. 87 was not heard.

MOTION:    Sen. Jones moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with
        Sen. Urquhart absent for the vote.

    


Chair Madsen adjourned the meeting at 6:07 p.m.
