Chair Jenkins called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION:    Sen. Vickers moved to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2013 and February 6, 2013 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Hinkins, Knudson, and Okerlund absent for the vote.

S.B. 61 Hunting Permit Amendments (A. Christensen)

Sen. Christensen presented and explained the bill.

Spoke for the bill:    Mr. Greg Sheehan, Director, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources

MOTION:    Sen. Knudson moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

S.J.R. 10 Joint Resolution on the Protection of the Greater Canyonlands Region

Sen. Dabakis presented and explained this resolution.

MOTION:    Sen. Knudson moved to move this bill to interim study. The motion passed with Sen. Dabakis voting in opposition.

Sen. Jenkins asked for a five minute recess to allow other visitors to come in the room. Sen. Jenkins resumed the meeting at 5:15 p.m.

H.B. 72 Safe Drinking Water Disclosure Act (R. Barrus)

Rep. Barrus presented and explained this bill.

                Mr. Ken Bousfield, Director, Utah Division of Drinking Water

MOTION:    Sen. Knudson moved to move to the next item on the agenda The motion passed with Sen. Jenkins voting in opposition.

S.B. 109 Change Application Procedure (R. Okerlund)

Sen. Jenkins stated that this bill will not be heard at this meeting.

H.B. 73 Water Easement Amendments (J. Mathis)

Rep. Mathis presented and explained this bill.

MOTION:    Sen. Okerlund moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

H.B. 250 Sunset Reauthorization - Energy Producer States' Agreement (R. Barrus)

Rep. Barrus presented and explained this bill.

MOTION:      Sen. Christensen moved to pass the bill out with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Okerlund moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 6:05 p.m.
