Chair Henderson called the meeting to order at 2:24 p.m.

Approval of Minutes

There were no minutes to approve.

S.B. 141 Education Contributions on Tax Returns (D. Thatcher)

Sen. Thatcher presented and explained this bill.

Spoke to the bill:    Mr. Kory Holdaway, Utah Education Association

MOTION:     Sen. Bramble moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed     unanimously with Sen. Harper absent for the vote.

S.B. 106 Unemployment Tax Amendment (C. Bramble)

Sen. Bramble presented and explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen Bramble moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Sen Bramble moved the bill to be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion     passed unanimously.



S.B. 138 Amendments to Requirements for Governor's Proposed Budget (W. Harper)


Spoke for the bill:    Derek Monson, Director of Policy, Sutherland Institute

MOTION:     Sen. Valentine moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed     unanimously with Sen. Bramble absent for the vote.

SB 0124 Sales and Use Tax Exemption for Database Access (W. Harper)

The bill was briefly discussed and it was determined that the bill would be placed on a future agenda.

MOTION:    Sen. Adams moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Henderson adjourned the meeting at 2:51 p.m.
