Chair Henderson called the meeting to order at 4:11 p.m.
S.B. 269 Property Tax Revisions (J. Valentine)
Sen. Valentine introduced and explained this bill.
MOTION:
Sen. Valentine moved to replace S.B. 269 with 1st Sub. S.B. 269. The motion
passed unanimously with Sens. Davis, Harper, and Stephenson absent for the
vote.
MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 269 out favorably. The motion passed
unanimously, with Sens. Davis and Harper absent for the vote.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to approve the minutes of Feb 28, 2013. The motion passed
unanimously with Sens. Davis, and Harper absent for the vote.
S.B. 250 Sales and Use Tax Exemption for Sales of a Fuel Cell (R. Okerlund)
Sen. Okerlund introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to replace S.B. 250 with 1st Sub. S.B. 250. The motion
passed unanimously, with Sens. Davis, Harper, and Valentine absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to pass 1st Sub. S.B. 250 out favorably. The motion passed,
with Sen. Dabakis voting in opposition and Sens. Davis, Stephenson, and
Valentine absent for the vote.
1st Sub. H.B. 96 Cleaner Burning Fuels Tax Credits Amendments (J. Draxler)
Rep. Draxler introduced and explained the bill.
Spoke to the bill: Mr. Bryce Bird, Director , Utah Division of Air Quality
MOTION: Sen. Dabakis moved to pass 1st Sub. H.B. 96 out favorably.
SUBSTITUTE
MOTION: Sen. Bramble moved to proceed to the next item on the agenda. After
discussion the motion was withdrawn.
The original motion passed, with Sens. Hendersen and Harper voting in opposition and Sen.
Valentine absent for the vote.
H.B. 145 Youth Development Organization Restricted Account and Income Tax
Contribution (S. Eliason)
Rep. Eliason introduced and explained the bill.
Spoke against the bill: Ms. Cathleen Sparrow, Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts of
Utah
MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed, with Sens.
Harper and Stephenson voting in opposition to the motion.
Chair Henderson adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
