Committee Chair Valentine called the meeting to order at 12:10 p.m.

1.     Approval of Minutes

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to approve the minutes of March 1, 2013.

The motion passed unanimously.

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved that S.B. 263, Child Care Costs Amendments (Sen. T. Weiler) be moved from the Health and Human Services Committee and reassigned to the Judiciary, Law enforcement , and Criminal Justice Committee.

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Madsen moved that S.B. 273, Declared Emergency Amendments (Sen. M. Madsen) be moved from Government Operations and Political Subdivisions Committee and be reassigned to the Judiciary, Law Enforcement, and Criminal Justice Committee.

The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to approve the list of bills, as amended, for assignment to standing committees.

The motion passed unanimously.

3. S.J.R. 3, Joint Rules Resolution on Submitting and Numbering Legislation (Sen. A. Osmond)

Sen. Osmond introduced and presented the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to replace S.J.R. 3, Joint Rules Resolution on Submitting and Numbering Legislation (Sen. A. Osmond) with 1st Sub. S.J.R. 3, Joint Rules Resolution on Requests for Legislation (Sen. A. Osmond)

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Weiler moved to pass 1st Sub. S.J.R. 3, Joint Rules Resolution on Requests for Legislation (Sen. A. Osmond), out favorably.

The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Knudson being absent.

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to adjourn.

The motion passed unanimously.
