Chair Van Tassell relinquished the Committee Chair to Sen. Dayton.

Acting Chair Dayton called the meeting to order at 2:10 p.m.

Approval of Minutes

MOTION:    
Sen. Van Tassell moved to approve minutes of the February 11, 2013 meeting.     The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Harper absent for the vote.

S.B. 178 Department of Transportation Revisions (K. Van Tassell)

Sen. Van Tassell introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Van Tasell moved to transmit S.B. 178 favorably. The motion passed      unanimously with Sen. Harper absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Van Tassell moved to place S.B. 178 on the Consent Calendar. The motion         passed unanimously with Sen. Harper absent for the vote.

S.B. 180 Public Utilities Amendments (K. Van Tassell)

Sen. Van Tassell introduced and explained the bill.

Sen. Van Tassell moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 6, Lines 175 through 178 :    

             175          (ii) Notwithstanding Subsection (5)(c)(i), if, within six months after the date that
  any       oil


             176
     filled equipment is transferred, the receiving party discovers that
{   the   }        a       transferred oil filled

             177      equipment contains polychlorinated biphenyl, the transferring party shall reimburse the
             178      receiving party for the cost of testing and disposal of that oil filled equipment.

The motion passed unanimously.

Sen. Harper introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Mayne moved to transmit S.B. 63 favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 60 Utility Facility Siting (D. Sagers)

Rep. Sagers introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.B. 60 favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to place H.B. 60 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed      unanimously.



H.C.R. 1 Concurrent Resolution Urging Use of Advance Signal Warning (J. Draxler)

Rep. Draxler introduced and explained the bill.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to transmit H.C.R. 1 favorably. The motion passed         unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to place H.C.R. 1 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed         unanimously.

MOTION:    Sen. Dayton moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Van Tassell adjourned the meeting at 2:38 p.m.
