8 General Description:
9 This bill amends provisions authorizing law enforcement officers to use a state issued

23 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 67-5-23 is amended to read:
25 67-5-23. H. [ Personal use ] Use .H of state vehicles for law enforcement officers.
26 H. (1) .H The attorney general may authorize [up to 28] law enforcement officers, as
26a defined
27 under Section 53-13-103 , who are employees in the Office of the Attorney General to use a

28 state issued vehicle for official and H. [ personal ] commuter .H use.
28a H. (2) An employee shall use, and the attorney general shall authorize the use of, a vehicle
28b under Subsection (1) subject to the rules adopted by the Division of Fleet Operations in
28c accordance with Section 63A-9-401. .H
