Chair Draxler called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

H.B. 39    Election Law - Independent Expenditures Amendments (Rep. D. Sagers)

Rep. Sagers explained the bill with the assistance of Mr. Justin Lee of the Lieutenant Governor's Office.

Spoke for the bill:    Jenn Gonnelly, League of Women Voters

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to amend the bill as follows:

The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Mathis and Rep. Noel absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 252    Absentee Ballot Amendments (Rep. J. Bird)

This bill was not considered.

MOTION:    Rep. Fisher moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Draxler adjourned the meeting at 9:48 a.m.
