Vice Chair Ivory called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2014 and the March 6, 2014 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Chavez-Houck, Rep. Fisher, Rep. Grover, and Rep. Powell absent for the vote.

H.B. 189    Inherent Risk of Recreational Activities Amendments (Rep. K. Stratton)

Rep. Stratton explained the bill.

Spoke for the bill:    Adam Trupp, Utah Association of Counties
            Lynn Pace, Utah League of Cities and Towns

MOTION:    Rep. Draxler moved to refer the bill to the rules committee and request that it be considered for interim study. The motion passed with Rep. Chavez-Houck, Rep. Fisher, and Rep. Grover absent for the vote.

S.B. 212    Invasive Species Amendments (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. M. Brown)

Rep. Knudson explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover absent for the vote.



S.B. 70    State Data Portal Amendments (Sen. D. Henderson) (Rep. S. Eliason)

Sen. Henderson explained the bill.

MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Line 12 :    

             12          This bill:
      . modifies the composition of the Utah Transparency Advisory board;      


2.    Page 3, Lines 60 through 63 :    

             60          (j) an individual representing municipalities, appointed by the governor;

  (k) an individual representing special districts, appointed by the governor; and

 
     {   (k)   }        (l)       two individuals who are members of the public and who have knowledge,

             62      expertise, or experience in matters relating to the board's duties under Subsection (10),
