Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 2:12 p.m.

H.B. 30    Controlled Substances Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

Chair Ray explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Chair Ray moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 291    State Laboratory Drug Testing Account Amendments (Rep. R. Menlove)

MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to replace H.B. 291 with 1st Substitute H.B. 291, State Laboratory Drug Testing Account Amendments. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Kennedy absent for the vote.

Rep. Menlove explained the bill to the committee.

Rep. Chavez-Houck explained the bill to the committee. A handout, "Policy Brief," was provided by the Division of Aging and Adult Services, Department of Human Services.

H.J.R. 9    Joint Resolution on Utah Epilepsy Public Education, Outreach, and Awareness (Rep. M. Poulson)

Rep. Poulson explained the bill to the committee.
