Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Greene moved to approve the minutes of February 7, 2014. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Kennedy absent for the vote.

H.B. 106    Employer Sponsored Clinic - Prescription Drug Amendments (Rep. S. Barlow)

Rep. Barlow explained the bill to the committee.

No action was taken on the bill.

H.B. 327    Veterans' Employment Opportunity Amendments (Rep. P. Ray)

Vice Chair Christensen assumed the chair.

Rep. Ray explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Rick Hughes, Department of Human Resources.

MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to place H.B. 327 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.


Chair Ray resumed the chair.

H.B. 211    Substance Abuse Amendments (Rep. M. Kennedy)

Rep. Kennedy explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Greene moved to replace H.B. 211 with 1st Substitute H.B. 211, "Substance Abuse Amendments." The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

Spoke for the bill:    Mr. Brent Kelsey, Assistant Director, Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, Department of Human Services

MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to pass the bill out favorably, as substituted. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Cosgrove moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously         with Rep. Barlow and Rep. Menlove absent for the vote.

Chair Ray adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m.
