Chair Ray called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Barlow moved to approve the minutes of February 11, 2014. The motion
passed unanimously with Rep. Cosgrove absent for the vote.
H.J.R. 14 Joint Resolution on Caregiving (Rep. R. Chavez-Houck)
Rep. Chavez-Houck explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Danny Harris,
AARP.

H.B. 119 Opiate Overdose Emergency Treatment (Rep. C. Moss)
Rep. Moss explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Dr. Christopher Stock,
clinical pharmacy specialist, VA Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Stock circulated opiate safeguard
kits to the committee. HB 119 Opiate Overdose Emergency Treatment was distributed as a
handout.
Weber State University School of Nursing distributed a handout.
