Vice Chair Perry called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

At the request of the sponsor, Vice Chair Perry announced that H.B. 265 "Probate Code Amendments" will not be heard today.

1st Sub. H.B. 70    Forcible Entry Amendments (Rep. M. Roberts)

Rep. Roberts explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Arent moved to replace H.B. 70 with 1st Substitute H.B. 70, "Forcible Entry Amendments." The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Christensen and Rep. McIff absent for the vote.

Spoke to the bill:    Mr. Paul Boyden, Executive Director, Statewide Area Prosecutors

MOTION:    Rep. King moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

1st Sub. H.B. 336    Court System Task Force (Rep. J. Peterson)

Rep. J. Peterson explained the bill to the committee, and provided a handout, "The Courts Task Force."

MOTION:    Rep. Hall moved to replace H.B. 336 with 1st Substitute H.B. 336, "Court System Task Force." The motion passed unanimously.




MOTION:    Rep. Arent moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

At the request of the sponsor, Vice Chair Perry announced that H.B. 213 "Criminal Penalties For Sexual Contact with a Student" will not be heard today.

MOTION:    Rep. Hall moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Perry adjourned the meeting at 8:35 a.m.
