Vice Chair Greenwood called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to approved the minutes of the February 10, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Layton, and
        Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

H.B. 280    Technical Revisions to Pawnshop Statute (Rep. A. Romero)

Rep. Romero explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Jodi Hart, pawn industry

MOTION:    Rep. Wheatley moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Layton, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to place H.B. 280 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Ipson, and Rep. Layton absent for the vote.




H.B. 254    Human Trafficking Victim Amendments (Rep. J. Seelig)

MOTION:    Rep. Wheatley moved to replace H.B. 254 with 1st Sub. H.B. 254. The motion passed unanimously with. Rep. Grover, Rep. Ipson, and Rep. Oda absent for the vote.

Rep. Seelig explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Gregory Ferbrache, Assistant Attorney General.

Rep. Seelig distributed the fact sheet "Safe Harbor Amendments".

Rep. Webb explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Grover, Rep. Ipson, Rep. Redd, and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.

H.B. 334    Bail Bondsmen Amendments (Rep. E. Redd)

Rep. Redd explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Layton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ipson and Rep Seelig absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Oda moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ipson and Rep. Seelig absent for the vote.
