Chair Sanpei called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.

H.R. 4         House Rules Resolution Banning Fundraising on the House Floor (Rep. J. Seelig)

Rep. Seelig explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. King moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.

H.J.R. 13    Joint Rules Resolution on Conference Committee Reports (Rep. J. Seelig)

Rep. Seelig explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Ray moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Wiley absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Hutchings moved to place HJR13 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.


H.J.R. 7    Joint Rules Resolution on Legislative Review Notes (Rep. K. Ivory)

        Rep. Ivory explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Perry moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed with
        Rep. King, Rep. Ray and Rep. Wiley voting in opposition.

Chair Sanpei asked Vice Chair Menlove to conduct the meeting.

H.R. 3         House Rules Resolution - Legislative per Diem Amendments (Rep. M. Brown)

Rep. Sanpei explained the resolution to the committee with the assistance of Eric Weeks, Deputy General Counsel of the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel.

MOTION:    Rep. Hutchings moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Sanpei resumed the chair.

H.R. 2        House Rules Resolution on Voting Procedures (Rep. J. Nielson)

Rep. Nielson explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Menlove moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

H.R. 1        House Rules Resolution on Standing Committee Hearings (Rep. K. Powell)

        This resolution was not considered.

Chair Sanpei adjourned the meeting at 2:13 p.m.
