Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Moss, Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.

H.B. 222    Veteran's Preference Amendments (Rep. V. Peterson)

Rep. Peterson explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to amend the bill as follows:

Page 2, line 56 through page 3, line 72:    Delete lines 56-72

The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep Lifferth moved to pass H.B. 222 out favorably as amended. The motion         passed unanimously with Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.
    
H.C.R. 3    Concurrent Resolution on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Rep. V. Peterson)

Rep. Peterson explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Moss moved to hold the bill. The motion passed with Rep. Barlow, Rep.         Sanpei, and Rep. Tanner voting in opposition.

Vice Chair Peterson assumed the chair.    

S.B. 32    State Highway System Amendments (Sen. K. Van Tassell) (Rep. Johnny Anderson)

Rep. Anderson explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Kristen Hoschouer, Utah Department of Transportation

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to pass S.B. 32 out favorably. The motion passed              unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to place S.B. 32 on the Consent Calendar. The motion         passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Knotwell moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Peterson adjourned the meeting at 9:34 a.m.
