8     General Description:
9          This bill amends the provision that defines legislative in-session employees.

21     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
22          Section 1. Section 36-2-1 is amended to read:
23          36-2-1. Legislative in-session employees.
24          [The in-session] In-session employees of the Legislature [shall consist of a secretary of
25     the Senate and a chief clerk of the House, a minute] are those employees who are hired to
26     perform seasonal work associated with a legislative session, and may consist of a journal clerk
27     of the Senate and a [minute] journal clerk of the House, a docket clerk of the Senate and a

28     docket clerk of the House, a reading clerk of the Senate and a reading clerk of the House, and
29     such other [assistants] employees as may be found necessary.
