8     LONG TITLE
9     General Description:
10          This bill modifies education funding for school districts, charter schools, and certain
11     state agencies for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015, and
12     modifies related budgetary provisions.
13     Highlighted Provisions:
14          This bill:
15          ▸     appropriates funding to school districts and charter schools for educator salary
16     adjustments and the teacher salary supplement;
17          ▸     implements transfers to administration for central services at the State Office of
18     Education; and
19          ▸     balances appropriations among revenue sources and funds.
20     Money Appropriated in this Bill:
21          This bill appropriates for fiscal year 2015:
22          ▸     ($18,000,000) from the Uniform School Fund;
23          ▸     $23,080,000 from the Education Fund; and
24          ▸     $2,011,200 from various sources as detailed in this bill.
25     Other Special Clauses:
26          This bill provides a special effective date.

30     Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
31          Section 1. Operating and capital budgets -- FY 2015 appropriations for state
32     education agencies, school districts, and charter schools -- Value of the weighted pupil
33     unit.
34          Under the terms and conditions of Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary Procedures Act, for
35     the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015, the following sums of money
36     are appropriated from resources not otherwise appropriated, or reduced from amounts
37     previously appropriated, out of the funds or accounts indicated. These sums of money are in
38     addition to any amounts previously appropriated for fiscal year 2015.

83          Section 2. Effective date.
84          If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this bill takes effect
85     upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
86     Constitution, Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto,
87     the date of veto override.
