Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:33 a.m.


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to approve the minutes of the March 5, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Pitcher, and Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 186          Construction Trades Licensing Continuing Education (Sen. P. Knudson)


Sen. Knudson explained the bill assisted by John Hill, Rocky Mountain Gas Association, who distributed a handout, "SB 186 Construction Trades Licensing Continuing Education."

S.B. 198          Alcoholic Beverage Control Amendments (Sen. J. Stevenson)


Sen. Stevenson explained the bill:


MOTION:     Rep. Cox moved to pass out favorably S.B. 198. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:     Rep. Anderegg moved to place S.B. 198 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously, but due to fiscal impact the bill was returned to the Rules Committee for prioritization.

 

S.B. 212          Surplus Lines Insurance Modifications (Sen. J. Stevenson)


Sen. Stevenson explained the bill assisted by Todd Kiser, Insurance Commissioner.


MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to pass out favorably S.B. 212. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:     Rep. Anderegg moved to place S.B. 212 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

 

S.B. 215          Settlement Authority Amendments (Sen. L. Hillyard)


Rep. Daw distributed a handout, "SB 215 Settlement Authority Amendments" and explained the bill accompanied by Tani Downing, Director of Risk Management.


MOTION:     Rep. Roberts moved to pass out favorably S.B. 215. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 271          Health Benefit Plan Amendments (Sen. C. Bramble)


Sen. Bramble explained the bill.


MOTION:     Rep. Duckworth moved to pass out favorably S.B. 271. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 272          Payment of Wages Amendments (Sen. K. Mayne)


Sen. Mayne explained the bill.


MOTION:     Rep. Anderegg moved to pass out favorably S.B. 272. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Schultz and Rep. Stanard absent for the vote.
