Vice Chair Spendlove called the meeting to order at 3:52 p.m.

 

MOTION:      Rep. Barlow moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2015, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. McIff, and Rep. Ray absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 112         Hearing Instrument Specialist Amendments (Rep. G. Froerer)


Rep. Froerer explained 1st Substitute H.B. 112 to the committee and distributed a handout provided by Utah Speech-Language Hearing Association.

MOTION:      Rep. Brown moved to replace H.B. 112 with 1st Substitute H.B. 112, Hearing Instrument Specialist Amendments. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, and Chair McIff absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:      Rep. Redd moved to pass the bill out favorably as substituted. The motion passed with Rep. Thurston voting in opposition and Rep. Barlow, Rep. Hall, and Rep. Kennedy absent for the vote.

 

S.J.R. 1          Joint Resolution Urging Interstate Sharing of Putative Father Registry Information (Sen. L. Escamilla)


Sen. Escamilla explained the resolution to the committee.

 

Spoke to the bill:        Barry Nangle, Utah Department of Health

 

MOTION:     Rep. Ward moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Brown, Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, Chair McIff, and Rep. Ray absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Barlow moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Brown, Rep. Hall, Rep. Kennedy, Chair McIff, and Rep. Ray absent for the vote.


Vice Chair Spendlove adjourned the meeting at 5:15 p.m.
