Vice Chair Sagers called the meeting to order at 2:14 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to approve the minutes of the March 6, 2015 and March 9, 2015 meetings. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Briscoe, Rep. Draxler, and Rep. Schultz absent for the vote.
S.J.R. 17 Joint Resolution Recognizing the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta (Sen. H. Stephenson)
Sen. Stephenson explained the resolution to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Perry moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. McKell absent for the vote.
H.B. 161 Utah Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act (Rep. K. McIff)
Rep. McIff explained the bill to the committee. "Water Ownership" was distributed to the committee. Kent Jones, State Engineer, answered questions from the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hawkes, at the request of the sponsor, moved to return the bill to the Rules Committee. The motion passed unanimously.
H.B. 457 Independent Energy Producer Amendments (Rep. F. Gibson)
Rep. Gibson explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Dan Black, Associate General Counsel, Vivint Solar. "Power Purchase Agreement Legislation" was distributed to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. McKell, at the request of the sponsor, moved to return the bill to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Rep. Handy moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
