Vice Chair Handy called the meeting to order at 4:25 p.m.

MOTION:     Rep. Miller moved to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Christofferson and Rep. Stratton absent for the vote.

H.B. 443         Capitol Preservation Board Amendments (Rep. K. Grover)

Rep. Grover explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Allison Gambel, Capitol Preservation Board.

MOTION:     Rep. Arent moved to pass H.B. 443 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:     Rep. Arent moved to place H.B. 443 on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 249          Trax Crossing Bars Operations Amendments (Sen. S. Jenkins)

Sen. Jenkins explained the bill to the committee.

MOTION:     Rep. Christofferson moved to pass S.B. 249 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

S.C.R. 6          Concurrent Resolution Supporting Vietnam Veterans (Sen. C. Bramble)

Sen. Bramble explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:     Rep. Arent moved to pass S.C.R. 6 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously.

S.J.R. 15        Joint Resolution Encouraging Utah Workers Be Employed in the Prison Relocation Efforts (Sen. K. Mayne)

Sen. Mayne explained the resolution to the committee.

MOTION:     Rep. Christofferson moved to amend the resolution as follows:

1. Page 1, Line 10:     After "encourages" insert "Utah"

2. Page 2. Line 33:     After "services from" insert "Utah"

The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:      Rep. Arent moved to pass S.J.R. 15 with a favorable recommendation as amended. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:      Rep. Grover moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Handy adjourned the meeting at 4:25 p.m.
