Vice Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 2:14 p.m.

 

MOTION:     Rep Knotwell moved to approve the minutes of the February 3, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Hutchings, Rep. Ivory, Rep. McKell, Rep. Sagers, and Rep. McCay absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 50           Securities Exemption Amendments (Rep. B. Greene)


Rep. Greene explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Gary Leavitt, citizen. "Enacted Law- Intrastate Crowdfunding Exemption Legislation" was distributed to the committee.

Spoke against the bill:            Michael Stevens, National Association of Insurance and Financial                                                 Advisors

 

MOTION:     Rep. Sagers moved to hold the bill. The motion passed unanimously.


 

H.B. 189         Child Welfare Mediation (Rep. E. Hutchings)


Rep. Hutchings explained the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Cunningham moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene, Rep. Froerer, and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.

 

S.B. 21            Sales and Use Tax - Molten Magnesium (Sen. D. Henderson)


Sen. Henderson explained the bill to the committee. Steve Young, attorney, Holland and Hart, was available to answer questions. An overhead graphic presentation was shown to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. McCay moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 187         Amendments to Health and Human Services Funds (Rep. E. Redd)


Rep. Redd introduced the bill to the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to adopt 1st Sub. H.B. 187. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Briscoe moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Cunningham moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Greene, Rep. Hutchings, and Rep. McKell absent for the vote.
