Chair McCay called the meeting to order at 2:11 p.m.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Knotwell moved to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2015 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Froerer, Rep. Hutchings, Rep. King, Rep. McKell, Rep. Sagers, and Rep. Stanard absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 333         Budget Reserve Account Amendments (Rep. D. Sanpei)


Rep. Sanpei explained the bill to the committee. Jonathan Bell, Director, Legislative Fiscal Analysts Office, answered questions from the committee.

H.B. 326         Federal Funds Commission Extension (Rep. K. Ivory)

       (1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), this bill takes effect on May 12, 2015.

       (2) Uncodified Section 4, Appropriation, takes effect on July 1, 2015.

MOTION:     Rep. McKell moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Greene voting in opposition.

Sen. Weiler explained the bill to the committee. Lynne Ward, Director, Utah Education Savings Plan, answered questions from the committee.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Froerer moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ivory absent for the vote.

 

MOTION:     Rep. Stanard moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Ivory absent for the vote.
