Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m.

 

MOTION:       Rep. DiCaro moved to approve the minutes of the March 4, 2015, meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Barlow, Rep. Fawson, Rep. King, and Rep. Anderegg absent for the vote.

 

H.B. 423           Road Parcel Amendments (Rep. S. Handy)

 

Rep. Handy explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Richard Maughan, County Recorders, and they provided a handout pertaining to the bill.

 

MOTION:       Rep. Christofferson moved to pass H.B. 423 out favorably.

 

SUBSTITUTE

MOTION:       Rep. Anderegg moved to return H.B. 423 to the Rules Committee for interim study. The motion failed with Rep. DiCaro, Rep. Fawson, Rep. Anderegg, and Rep. Anderson in favor of the substitute motion.

 

The original motion passed with Rep. DiCaro, Rep. Fawson, Rep. Anderegg, and Rep. Anderson voting in opposition.

 

H.B. 266           Vehicle Towing Amendments (Rep. K. Coleman)

 

Rep. Coleman explained the bill to the committee.

 

Spoke against the bill:                 Leo Lines, Property Owners

Lynn Christensen, Davis County Towing Association

Neil Schultz, Ogden Weber Towing Association

 

MOTION:       Rep. Cunningham moved to adjourn. The motion passed with Rep. Fawson and Rep. Lifferth voting in opposition. Rep. Anderegg was absent for the vote.
