11 General Description:
12 This bill modifies the Women in the Economy Commission Act and the Legislative
13 Oversight and Sunset Act .
14 Highlighted Provisions:
15 This bill:
16 ▸ defines terms;
17 ▸ modifies the reporting requirements of the Women in the Economy Commission;
18 ▸ repeals the sunset date of the Women in the Economy Commission Act, which has
19 the effect of allowing the commission to continue beyond July 1, 2016; and
20 ▸ makes technical changes.

31 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
32 Section 1. Section 35A-11-102 is amended to read:
33 35A-11-102. Definitions.
34 As used in this chapter:
35 (1) "Commission" means the Women in the Economy Commission created in Section
36 35A-11-201.
37 (2) "State institution of higher education" [

39 Section 2. Section 35A-11-203 is amended to read:
40 35A-11-203. Annual report.
41 (1) The commission shall annually prepare [
42 report for inclusion in the department's annual written report described in Section 35A-1-109.

50 (2) The report described in Subsection (1) shall:
51 (a) describe how the commission fulfilled its statutory purposes and duties during the
52 year; and
53 (b) contain recommendations on how the state should act to address issues relating to
54 women in the economy.
55 Section 3. Section 63I-1-235 is amended to read:
56 63I-1-235. Repeal dates, Title 35A.
57 (1) Subsection 35A-4-312(5)(p) is repealed July 1, 2017.
58 (2) Title 35A, Chapter 5, Part 4, Career and Technical Education Board, is repealed
59 July 1, 2018.
